Welcome to the Mt. Diablo Unified School District!
We are the Mt. Diablo Education Association (MDEA), the union representing the certificated employees in MDUSD.
Our goal is to work together to make MDUSD the best learning environment for our students and members. I have some great information to share regarding our union, the work we do, and the benefits of membership. We will also review the benefits of membership in the California Teachers Association (CTA), of which we are the local affiliate.

You can join both MDEA and CTA by visiting Join.CTA.org.
Once you complete your MDEA membership form, you will become a member of MDEA and CTA and the National Education Association (NEA) and will be eligible for CTA legal services, NEA professional liability coverage, and many other MDEA, CTA or NEA benefits.
The Standard offers disability insurance to CTA members. This insurances protects your income in the event of a disability.
